Meetup.com event (Super Fabulicious Hiking and Outdoor Adventure Group), ~9.3 mi, 2700'. EBMUD trail starting from Chabot staging area. Destination was Ramage Peak (one way, car shuttle) and Las Trampas Wilderness (San Ramon) park, but we got a little lost and turned back to Chabot. Still quite a nice hike though, lead by David N. 16 hikers.
Hike Route: Ramage Peak Trail, Devil's Hole, Rocky Ridge, Cuesta, Rocky Ridge.
DIRECTIONS TO LAS TRAMPAS WILDERNESS PARK
From I-580 in Castro Valley, take Crow Canyon Road north to Bollinger Canyon Road. Turn left (north) onto Bollinger Canyon Road and follow it into the park.
From I-680 in San Ramon, take Crow Canyon Road west to Bollinger Canyon Road, turn right (north) and follow it into the park.
DIRECTIONS TO CHABOT STAGING AREA: From the Las Trampas parking area at the end of Bollinger Canyon Rd., return to Crow Canyon Rd., turn right and go 7.5 miles to E. Castro Valley Blvd. Turn right and go 1.1 miles on E. Castro Valley Blvd., which soon becomes Castro Valley Blvd., to Redwood Rd. Turn right and go 3.2 miles north to Chabot Staging Area, right, at a sharp bend in the road.
